VP Asset Management Auditor

This client has approached me to help it source, on an exclusive basis, an outstanding internal auditor to join its small but growing audit team. It is a listed company focused on private markets. It has been performing well with a significant increase of its share price in the last 12-24 months with assets under management in excess of $50bn.

This role will suit someone with a financial services, internal audit background who is bright and ambitious, and can work effectively and efficiently by prioritising. While the client’s industry is private markets, and experience in asset management would be helpful the sector knowledge isn’t as important as the general qualities of the candidate. The candidate must however be able to demonstrate and interest in private markets and be able to apply their audit knowledge into that sector.

This person will deliver audits and manage more junior members of the team in London and globally. They will input into the global audit plan and development of the audit methodology and if they perform well over time, this role could potentially be a successor to the Head of Audit.

This is a high-profile position, so the candidate needs to be comfortable dealing with very senior stakeholders and gaining exposure to various Committees and Boards. The company operates a hybrid model with 3 days a week in the office and two from home and there is very limited travel.
