An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director, Legislation to join a leading financial regulatory body. This role involves delivering high-quality legal advice, supporting the development of financial regulations, and contributing to a robust policy framework across a variety of financial regulatory topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on policy projects, including the drafting of laws and rules.
  • Analyse and advise on financial services legislation.
  • Oversee and enhance the quality of legislative processes, ensuring consistency with best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain an effective legal framework.
  • Prepare reports and materials for the Board, committees, and senior management.
  • Offer legal guidance on the supervision of financial services providers.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree and current practicing certificate (Barrister/Solicitor) or equivalent right to practice in law.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification legal experience in a financial services regulatory body, government department, or international law firm.
  • Proven experience in financial services legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
