This role sits within a niche business, which is part of a major global financial institution. It operates in London as an autonomous unit which gives both a small company, collegiate feel but with the support of a massive global brand behind it. The business focuses on asset management, securities lending and trust banking and this person can come from either an asset management or banking background. The slight preference is for someone from an asset management background who is happy to spend c.70% of their time on the asset management audit universe and 30% on banking. This could be ideal for a candidate looking to gain a broader skillset whilst maintaining or building their existing knowledge. However, candidates purely from a banking background are also welcome but then they will probably focus more on banking with occasional exposure to asset management depending on their preferences.
The Audit team is very supportive and has a generous training budget that it encourages all team members to use. Audits tend to be performed in pairs or if very short you may work alone. There is very flexible hybrid working, with a minimum requirement of one day a week in the office although some people prefer to do two.
