Authorisations Manager

Are you ready to make an impact in the financial services industry? A Dubai based regulator is seeking a dedicated professional to deliver effective and efficient risk-based authorisation across a broad range of firms and entities wishing to provide financial services in or from their Financial Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

New Applications:

  • Engage with potential new applicants in a helpful and transparent manner.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to serve the best interests of the Centre.
  • Assess new authorisation applications balancing quality control, speed, and stakeholder experience.
  • Handover newly authorised firms to the Supervision Division.

Lifecycle Tasks:

  • Assess lifecycle applications from existing authorised/registered firms.
  • Maintain quality control, speed, and stakeholder experience.

Key Projects:

  • Contribute to assigned projects with timely and accurate updates.
  • Seek clarity on project and BAU task prioritisation.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Expertise in broker/dealers, trading rooms, traded financial products, and banking.
  • Knowledge of recent industry and technological innovations is an advantage.

Information Systems:

  • Ensure information systems are updated promptly and accurately.
  • Use the Regulatory Information System and Business Intelligence tool for reports.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:

  • Follow departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide constructive feedback to senior management for positive change.

Reports:

  • Prepare timely and accurate departmental statements and reports.

Related Assignments:

  • Perform other related duties as directed.
  • Contribute to development programmes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Risk Management.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulations and international regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Professional, diplomatic, and ethical attitude with good people and time management skills.
