Emerging Markets Credit Analyst

I am working with a leading global hedge fund who are looking for an Emerging Markets Credit Analyst to support high-yield and special situations within emerging market sovereign, quasi-sovereign, and corporate credit. This role will primarily focus on hard currency debt, with occasional exposure to local currency debt.

My client specialises in managing assets for institutional investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, and government agencies, the firm focuses on absolute return strategies and operates through offices worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quantitative and fundamental analysis to identify opportunities in emerging market credit (sovereign, quasi-sovereign, and corporate)
  • Develop systematic screening tools to identify trading opportunities
  • Support the identification of special situations within emerging markets

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role (sell-side, hedge fund, or asset management)
  • Skills: Strong quantitative skills, ideally with an advanced degree in Math, Statistics, or Economics
  • Attributes: Strong work ethic, ability to handle a fast-paced environment, and readiness to complete case studies as part of the interview process
