Enterprise Risk Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Operational Risk practitioner to join a leading Financial Services organisation based in London. The successful candidate will provide support to the business to ensure risks are identified, assessed, managed and monitored in accordance with the organisations risk appetite. You will work closely with the Risk Champions across all businesses within the organisation and provide coaching and training where required, whilst promoting a positive risk culture across the business.

 

The Job:

  • Day-to-day interactions between Risk & Compliance, product areas and central functions, being an SME on the Risk, Control and Incident Data Reporting.
  • Working with the Risk Champions, Business Directors and their teams to identify, assess, mitigate, report and monitor risk and control with their capture in Xactium.
  • Provide oversight and challenge of the businesses risk profile.
  • Continuous support to ensure that risk and control owners understand their role and responsibilities.
  • Triage of incidents reported through their internal portal, ensuring root causes are identified and actions undertaken to improve the risk and control environment.
  • Monitor Non-Financial Risk Key Risk Indicator reporting, ensuring data is scrutinized and escalated appropriately.
  • Creation, implementation and maintenance of Risk Policies, Standards and Guidance.
  • Represent Risk & Compliance at meetings where required.
  • Provision of risk training on a 1-to-1 basis.

 

Your Experience:

  • Experience working within a risk function (public or private sector) of a financial services organisation, with exposure to Risk & Control Self-Assessments, Control Testing, Scenario Analysis, Risk Monitoring or KRI’s.
  • Experience preparing risk reports and MI packs for a range of audience and requirements.
  • A good understanding of financial products and solutions.
  • Experience sing MS Excel, PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Ability to work well in a team or independently.
  • Experience facing off to senior level stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and challenge where required.
