This famous investment manager has a vacancy for someone to lead asset management audits including those focused on illiquid investments especially real estate. This position sits in a small team and reports to and is seen as a succession plan to the Head of Audit.

The work is varied, and the company is global, but travel is limited and largely optional. The ideal candidate could come via several routes, the most obvious being someone with an asset management internal audit background already with some exposure to real estate or illiquid investments. This person could also be a Manager or Senior Manager in external audit in Big4/consultancy with significant exposure to real estate/alternative asset management clients. Another possibility could be someone with the sector experience from compliance monitoring or risk and is interested in moving into the third line. In these cases, there could be training to help the candidate navigate the internal audit methodology, or potentially they could have some internal or external audit experience already, and have moved away and are considering a move back.

The Head of Audit is someone I have known for many years and placed in this position. In fact, I placed the prior Head of Audit and the entire audit team since its inception under ten years ago, so I will be well placed to help candidates through the interview process. The company operates a hybrid model with 3 days a week in the office and two from home and there is limited travel.
