Our client, is a dynamic commercial organisation, is looking to enhance their IT governance and compliance framework and are seeking an experienced IT Controls Assurance Contractor to join their team for a 2-3 month engagement. This role is pivotal in developing a comprehensive standards and policies document that aligns with regulatory requirements and is both practical and accessible for their diverse team.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing Standards and Policies: Crafting a standards and policies document that meets relevant framework standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring Usability: Ensuring the document is clear, achievable, and easy to understand for both IT and non-IT personnel responsible for application management.
  • Policy and Guidance Development: Creating policy, guidance, and training materials that facilitate the understanding and implementation of IT controls.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Working closely with stakeholders to ensure the materials are relevant and address the specific needs of their organisation.

 

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a professional who has:

  • Expertise in IT Controls: Extensive experience in IT controls, compliance, and assurance.
  • Policy Development Experience: Proven track record in developing policies, standards, and training materials.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and framework standards.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise, and understandable manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Experienced in relevant regulatory frameworks such as NIST.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a commercial organisation.

 

Duration:

  • The contract is expected to run for 2-3 months.
