Lead Credit Risk IRB Modeller

Our client is a specialist mortgage bank based in the UK. The bank is in the midst of securing IRB permission for its capital models and is strengthening and growing its modelling team to deliver its 2nd gen models as per PRA guidance.

Your work will centre around building and monitoring a full suite of PD, EAD & LGD models as the firm continues its journey towards becoming an IRB accredited bank.

You will primarily focus on developing and implementing various types of predictive models, segmentation strategies, optimisation algorithms & data mining analysis. You’ll also aid the development, maintenance and monitoring of new IRB rating systems, regulatory PD, LGD, EAD & scorecard models.

You’ll also support regulatory and compliance initiatives within Risk such as IFRS9 models and stress testing, credit risk scorecards and simulation models to optimise operational processes and to quantify & manage operational risks. You’ll utilise your expertise in predictive modelling to drive forecasting, pricing, capital & impairment modelling.

Applicants should possess significant experience of retail IRB models (as a developer or validator), ideally with some supervisory experience.
