Legal Director

My client is a large and very well known banking group seeking a senior lawyer with extensive knowledge of UK prudential regulations.

This will work alongside another very experienced lawyer with a huge amount of knowledge of the area and report to an MD who was previously a partner with a magic circle firm.

The role will play a crucial role in all areas of prudential regulation including:

• All areas of prudential reporting & disclosures
• Regulatory capital & liquidity rules
• Supporting on operational continuity & resilience
• Advising on recovery, resolution & resolvability

 

This is being recruited at Director level but for an exceptionally strong candidate who is a bit more junior they will also consider this at a VP hire where there would be good runway for a promotion.

They are open to considering people from in house or direct out of private practice. This is a specialised role so there really can’t be any flexibility on skillset or a willingness to develop someone.

For either level 5yrs + PQE will be needed. You will need to be a Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a right to work in the UK to be considered.

This team is right at the centre of what is happening in the bank and this role will see you work closely with some of the most senior stakeholders including the Group GC.
