I am working with one of my Qatar based Banking clients on the search for a Policy & Framework specialist to join the Operational Risk team.

The Policy Management Lead to oversee and enhance our organization’s policy management processes. This role is critical for ensuring all Bank policies are current, compliant with regulations, and effectively communicated across departments.

Arabic language skills are an essential requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and implement the Bank’s Policy Management Framework.
  • Maintain and optimize the “Policy Library” on the intranet for easy staff access.
  • Ensure alignment of policies and SOPs with the Bank’s goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular annual policy reviews and update strategies.
  • Document and secure approvals for policies and SOPs before implementation.
  • Prepare RFPs for the Policy Management Unit (PMU) system for efficient system implementation.
  • Ensure the PMU system complies with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Lead PMU system implementation by translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in policy management.
  • Serve as the primary contact for policy inquiries and clarifications.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop training materials and presentations on policy-related matters.
  • Report on policy compliance issues to senior management.
  • Ensure policies are accessible and understood by all employees.
