I am working with a leading global trading platform for institutional investors to recruit a Senior Compliance Officer into their Amsterdam team. This role will be responsible for leading on European Compliance for the Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) and Data Reporting Services Provider (DRSP) operated from Amsterdam. The role requires a deep level of understanding of European regulations applicable to trading venues and experience across multuple asset classes. As part of an EMEA & APAC Compliance team you will be responsible for leading the Central Compliance & Monitoring function, and coordinating & interacting with EU regulators.
Key responsibilities;
- Being the Compliance lead for the EU business, providing support and updates to the local CEO and global CCO.
- Being the point of contact for EU Regulators
- Supporting the business in new strategies and initiatives, advising on related regulatory risks.
- Delivering the Compliance Risk Assessment, tailored to the nature of the firm, incorporating key regulatory requirements across EMEA & APAC.
- Overseeing the development and delivery of the firms annual monitoring programme.
- Assisting with Regulatory reporting and overseeing local policies & procedures
- Horizon scanning for changes to EMEA regulations that could impact the business.
Requirements;
- Extensive compliance experience within trading venues/market infrastructure firms or DRSPs.
- Strong experience in MIFID/MIFIR
- Experience engaging with European Regulators
- Experience across multiple asset classes, including strong background in Fixed Income
